A 37 km network of slopes provides the perfect conditions for cross-country skiers in the Lofer region, including traditional cross-country and skating. Well-signposted and groomed daily, choose your preferred route based on your personal preference and fitness. Cross-country skiing is one of the healthiest forms of sport, with the wonderful wintery landscape of the Salzburg Saalachtal valley providing an inspirational setting for energising your body and mind.
The 4 km-long high trail on the Lofer Alm provides the perfect conditions for effective training of technique and stamina at 1,500 meters above sea level. The Schönblick restaurant is the start and finishing point for this trail - around 15 minutes’walk from the gondola II station.
Amazing slopes await you during your cross-country skiing holiday in Unken Heutal in the Salzburg Land. Glide across 50 km of perfectly-prepared slopes, over the Heutal high plateau across to the Wildalm. Physically fit skiers may wish to also visit the neighbouring Winkelmoos Alm and Waidringer Steinplatte.
